Agronomy Science and Biotechnology (ASB) is an international journal on theoretical and applied aspects of Agronomy. ASB journal is published in the way continuous by the Mecenas Publishing, in english. The ASB journal started in 2015. The manuscripts are all in open access.
The ASB objectives are publishing original Research Articles, Review Articles and short communications prepared by national and international experts which contribute to the all scientific and technologic areas of Agronomy and Biotechnology, including crop Science, phytotechny, physiology of cultivated plants, plant breeding, modern plant genetics, plant genomics, plant biotechnology (tissue culture, molecular markers and genetic transformation), seed science and technology, horticultural crops (vegetables, fruits, edible fungi and ornamentals), medicinal plants, forestry management, soil sciences and technology, phytopathology, nematology, agronomic entomology and microbiology, pest management, weed Science, agroclimatology, rural engineering, agricultural mechanization, irrigation and drainage, precision agriculture, environment and sustainability, agronomic modeling, and interdisciplinary studies at the agronomy/food, agronomy/nutrition and agronomy/animal science.
Its mission is enable the public registration of knowledge and its preservation; Publish research results involving ideas and new scientific proposals in Agronomy; Disseminate the information and knowledge generated by the scientific community; Streamline the process of scientific and technological communication in the area of Agronomy.
The abbreviated title of the journal is Agron. Sci. Biotechnol., which can be used in bibliographies, footnotes and bibliographical references and strips.
The initial selection of manuscripts is done by the Editor. In this first analysis the quality requirements for publication are evaluated, among which: scope, quality of the text, summary, updated bibliographic revision, material and methods, statistical analysis, results and discussion, and conclusions well done, originality, contribution and relevance of the results, presentation of figures and tables, and other aspects observed in this first evaluation.
Manuscripts with the above-mentioned qualities are analyzed by at least two scientific reviewers of the manuscript specialty, who can make their considerations directly in the text, as well as in the Evaluation sheet. This evaluation is done in a double blind manner.
The manuscripts that are accepted according to the above criteria are submitted to the authors for the final improvements and adjustments for publication on the Agronomy Science and Biotechnology website. The manuscripts that are not accepted according to the above criteria are sent back to the authors.
ASB journal provides immediate open access to its content on its website.
